Re: The Sword Beneath the Cloak (Odigan work)

Nice.

I always thought that a shorter blade was more appropriate for a Ranger in the woods. They work better in formation work as well.

The lighter weight and nimbleness are also quite attractive.

Time to quench it in orc blood!

Re: A Project for Iodo?

Yeah.

Weapon laws are about control--of good people. Criminals just ignore them.

Maybe you can cut this down and spruce it up for around your home and then make a real one for Scotland:

Re: A Project for Iodo?

Quick question: is this some kind of hint because I know I haven't uploaded a project for a while :?: I hope to be able to fix that soon as I've finished my last college assignment this week and have several ideas on the drawing board  It was in the back of my mind. I also remember seeing ...

Cold Steel 2019 Summer Sale

Cold Steel is having a Summer Sale on some of their items. While I have found prices from other vendors that are below the sale prices on some items, there were a couple of excellent buys (shipping is free for orders over $75): 1. The Italian Dagger. It is long--almost 20" (for the large statur...

Re: Water Treatment on the Trail

Our most recent local ranger hike was three folks with two identical (sawyer mini) filters between us. Good thing two of us were set as one set kinda failed. However, that got me thinking about all the various, and best, ways to make water safe on the trail. The Sawyer's are great for our day hikes...

Re: 3rd Age Dunedain Ranger - Complete Functional Kit Breakdown

Suggestions are welcome, but if I'm trekking in Middle-earth, I'm not expecting to come across many airplanes to signal to. The tinder box is quite reflective and could be made more so, but that's not on my personal priority list. I've shaved successfully with my byknife. As for Gauntlets/Gloves......
